Another trip to the ER

On Super Bowl Sunday, my dad and Sally came back to the house to watch some of the super bowl with us. Sally was preparing hot tea, and Luke just likes to get his hands into everything these days so he managed to spill the boiling tea all over Sally and on himself! So we took another trip to the ER. They both had 2nd degree burns on them. Poor Sally and Luke! Sally was going on her honeymoon the next day, and Luke can't keep out of the ER.

Luke really did perk up once we got to the ER. He was having a great time with his Grammie Sally. They were playing and laughing together! I guess he felt like it was home to him. We figured out he has been in the ER 4 times in 4 weeks. Our goal is to keep him out of the ER for a whole month! We also hope Sally can still have a wonderful time on her honeymoon! She deserves it!

Micah's Baptism

The day after my dad and Sally got married, Micah was baptized. Uncle Todd and Aunt Lisa were his godparents. It was a very nice ceremony. We were very thankful to be there. The whole family made it to his baptism! May the Lord bless Micah Joseph.

Happy Wedding Day to You!

My dad and Sally got married on February 2, 2008. The ceremony was beautiful! Sally looked great and my dad and her couldn't have been happier! My uncle and cousin sang at the ceremony. (They also sang at my wedding.) They sounded wonderful. Sally's mom and her oldest brother walked her down the aisle. All of Sally's kids and all of my siblings stood up during their vows to be witnesses to their marriage.

The reception was also beautiful. It was at a local country club. Only immediate family was invited. It was small, but very nice! All of the grandkids sang happy wedding day to Sally and Pappy to the tune of Happy Birthday. It was very cute! We are very excited to have Sally and her kids and their families be apart of our family! We love our Grammie Sally!

Yummy foods

It has been only recently that Luke started enjoying baby foods. There hasn't been a food that I gave him that he didn't like! I think his favorite is green beans. He enjoys that more than any fruit! I guess you must develop taste buds for the sweeter, fattier foods later on in life!

I started Luke out really slow on new foods because of his allergies. I would try only one new food for 3 or more days straight. He didn't react to any new foods! Little did I know that he wouldn't react because he has been on steriods for his asthma ever since we started all these new foods! Now that he is off of the oral steriods, look out rashes!

Dada

Luke started babbling this past Saturday and hasn't stopped since! Everything is dada. His daddy is dada, I am dada, Samson is dada, the tv is dada, etc. He screams dada from his crib in the morning and babbles dada as he falls to sleep. I am still trying to teach him mama. =) I am sure that will come, but for right now he loves dada!

One Very Long Week

On Saturday night, right after the heartbreaking loss the Steeler's had, we heard Luke coughing. John and I went in to check on him and we noticed he was having trouble breathing. We rushed him to the ER. They gave him a breathing treatment and diagnosed him with croop. 4 hours later we were at home. On Wednesday, I noticed Luke was getting worse. He was pulling at his ears and having more trouble breathing. I took him in to his doctor and right away she heard his fast breathing and sent us to the ER. After many breathing treatments, steroids, and being transported in an ambulance to the ICU unit at another hospital Luke's breathing finally settled. He stayed the night. He was diagnosed with RSV and pneumonia. We were able to take him home Thursday night. He is receiving breathing treatments, steroids, and antibiotics at home. We are happy to say that he is feeling better. He is starting to act like his old jolly self again. We praise God and thank everyone for their help and prayers!

Christmas Part 2

We celebrated Christmas with John's family the Sunday after Chrismas. We also celebrated Cailin's 5th birthday! Heidi made one of her famous cakes. We are very fortunate to be able to celebrate Christmas with both of our families!
