Moving?

It is with mixed emotions that I write this. We are thinking about selling our place, and looking for a single family home in this area. It is fun to look at newer homes with nicer things, more land, etc. But part of me is sad because that means that we will not be moving closer to my family any time soon. This is probably pretty selfish of me to feel that way. John is really happy at work, and not many people can say that. I also have his family and great friends here.
And then I think about Abraham, who was asked by God to leave his home and go to a strange place called Ur. He did it without hesitation. I pray that I have the same obedience to the Lord that he did. I pray that to move or not to move is all within God's will.

Another Easter Celebration!

We spent Easter day with John's family at his parents house. It was great because all of his immediate family, grandparents, and most cousins were there. We are very blessed to be able to share in our Lord's resurrection with both of our families!

Easter at Grammie and Pappy's

John, Luke, and myself spent several days at my dad's house over the Easter holiday. Luke got to play patty-cake with his Grammie and play with his cousins (or mostly watch them play!) We dyed Easter eggs and had an Easter egg hunt. We always enjoy our time there. It just seems to go by so fast!

Some Firsts

Luke, for the first time yesterday, started to clap his hands together! Grammie Sally has been teaching him patty cake, so I think it has caught on! He is also saying along with dada; baba and mom (mom was just once, but I still think he was talking about me!) He has also started waving the selfish bye-bye (the one where his hand is facing himself).

Happy Birthday Alex!

Luke and myself got to celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday with him and his family! He wore a tux to his 1st birthday party. There aren't many kids that age who would do that! We had a really nice time. Luke enjoyed his cousins, as always! Here are some pictures from the party.

Fun in the Snow

Luke and myself went to visit Grammy Sally and Pappy. While we were there, it snowed about 6 inches. I decided to test Luke out in the snow. It was his first time, and he loved it! When I first took him outside it was still snowing and he just looked up and let the snow fall on his face! He also went sled riding by himself, with Grammy, and with Noah and Uncle Brian. He had a blast! When he got to the bottom of the hill he would laugh and kick his feet in excitement! I bet he can't wait until next winter!
