Decorating for Christmas!

John and I had some help this year. Luke and Samson enjoyed helping us with the tree! This is going to be a fun Christmas this year! Luke is finally at the age where he gets excited for lights, music, and toys!

Thanksgiving - Part 2

We also celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family the day after Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for!

Below are some pictures of Luke with his pappy and with his cousin, Alex. In some of the pictures, you can see a creek that is in my dad's backyard. My dad was watching Luke one day, and Luke just walked right into the creek! He then just started splashing away! I guess he has a little more in common with his dog, Samson, then I thought!

Thanksgiving

I know it has been awhile! I am finally able to take a breath and update the blog!

We hosted Thanksgiving dinner this year! It turned out great! All of John's family was able to make it except for Brian and Heidi's family. We did miss them! Here are some photos from our first big event in our new place!

I smell a skunk!

Luke was a skunk this year for Halloween. These pictures are from the local library. They had story time, a parade, and finished the morning with snacks. Luke had a good time with his friends!

Luke also got to see one of his favorite dogs, Baby, dressed up! This year Baby was Darth Vader. I think Luke was a little afraid of Baby Darth. He whined and didn't want to tackle him like he usually does!

Tackeling Samson some more!

Luke cannot get enough of it! He loves to run into Samson and then roll on top of him. It is too cute!

Peddler's Village

Luke and myself spent the day with friends at peddler's village. It was a great day. Unfortunately, I didn't have my wallet so I couldn't buy anything! It is a great way to be cheap! Here is a picture of Luke and his friend Micah playing with balls.

Longwood Gardens

Here are more pictures from that beautiful day! I especially enjoyed the over 1,000 pounds pumpkins, topiaries, and minature trains.

Anniversary and Birthday

John suprised me on my birthday and our anniversary by taking a half-day off of work! We went to lunch and then to Longwood Gardens. Just the two of us! It was beautiful! We finished off the date with a fantastic dinner! What a great husband!
Here our some pictures from Longwood Gardens. Maybe we can go again in the spring!

A pretty cool tree house! I am sure we will have something very similar for Luke when he is a bit older!

Fall Fun

Here the boys are taking a break from blowing the leaves by tackling and playing in them! What a fun day!

Some favorite things

Luke has changed so much in the last couple of weeks. He really enjoys running away from me, tackling Samson, dancing (especially with his fridge toy, Farmer Tad), and walking his puppy. He also is giving high fives and kisses! I enjoy receiving both!

Now this is Farmer Tad. Luke's favorite toy. You can put the animals in the barn and farmer Tad will sing to you. Luke will play with this continually, so Tad will sing. Then he moves his head and hips. It is hilarious to watch! I hope he has more rhythm than I have!

Luke walking his puppy. Sometimes he will chase Samson while walking his own dog!

Luke tackling Samson. Sometimes he can't seem to get him down!

Apple Picking

Luke and myself went with our new neighbor friends apple picking. The apples were delicious! We went to the park afterward because it was such a beautiful day. I hope we get to do that again next year!Luke and Melanie getting a ride to go pick apples! I don't have any other pictures picking apples because Luke was a little grumpy, but he did enjoy the park.
